English Summers

June 30, 2009

For the English, rain is common during the summer (and during every other season). However, in Texas, we’re in the dry heat from the time we wake up to the time we sleep. It rained for the first time in what felt like forever in ATX this morning. The mini downpour inspired the three interns here at BD to pick outfits that we would wear in rainy weather – that is if we are to ever get rain again this summer!

Angela decided that this outfit would be perfect to wear out for a stroll on a rainy day. We paired a Fremont jumper with our Catherine Holstein oversized belt to achieve a crisp, clean look for the gloomy weather. Top it off with this cute tiered BB Dakota jacket just in case it gets chilly!

If you can’t help yourself from stepping into the city to do some vintage shopping, then step into this comfortable outfit. I’ve tucked a simple white Crispin and Basilio tank into a pair of high-waisted Catherine Holstein shorts. The ombre detail on the Charlotte Ronson cardigan completes this chic and classy look.

A little bit of rain won’t stop Jennifer from heading out at night. She creates this edgy look by slipping a black bralette underneath this lacey Catherine Holstein top. Our favorite piece of this look is the Nuj Novakhett fitted skirt. This classy outfit is such a relief for the eyes in contrast to the nasty weather.

Make sure you remember that you can find all of these pieces at Until next time BD readers!
